Marisa Martin

Executive Director, Pollination

Marisa has deep experience advising global clients on climate change law and policy and has been internationally recognized for her work. As a former attorney with Baker McKenzie’s Climate Change Practice, Marisa specialized in advice on carbon transactions, domestic and international climate law and policy, with a focus on the implementation of the Paris Agreement and nature-based climate solutions (e.g., REDD+). Marisa has also provided expert legal analysis on corporate sustainability and renewable energy, water infrastructure and biofuel projects. She was appointed Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Climate Change, Climate Change, Sustainable Development and Ecosystem Committee. She has been recognized as an ‘Emerging Lawyer’ in Environmental Law by Leading Lawyers; and an ‘Associate to Watch’ in Climate Change by Chambers. She is licensed to practice law in California and Illinois.
